RTA - Nate Dugi-Turner

Nate Dugi-Turner was born and raised in Southern California and has been playing music since the age of seven. As a young kid, his original desire to attempt the flute was wisely re-directed by his parents towards the keyboard, a fortuitous move that led to ten years of private study and three years at USC as a classical performance major.

Nate’s first meeting with the band almost didn’t happen. As Jeff recalls, “Garrett, Warren and I had been jamming for about a month when Garrett told me he had this friend who played keys. Garrett had been bugging the hell out of him trying to get him out to jam. We finally got him to come out to one of our rehearsals and before I know it we got going and Nate just starts tearing it up with us. I looked around and everyone just had stupid grins on their faces, including Nate. I knew he was hooked and the feeling was mutual.”

Nate was a member of RTA from Summer 2006 through Fall of 2007. After Garrett moved back to Chicago in November 2007, Nate also moved on to pursue new musical interests.

Currently, Nate spends his time teaching at the California Music Academy in Westlake and doing production work for XELLI Music in Studio City.
